Sebago Portland Flesh Out Taupe Loafer
The Sebago Portland "Flesh Out" represent a material evolution and a "rougher" version of the iconic boat shoes from the American brand.
Unlike traditional suede (which is often a "cut" layer of leather), Flesh Out is reversed full-grain leather.
Because the smooth side (the "grain") remains on the inside, the shoe retains all the structural strength of full-grain leather, but with a suede-like exterior.
It is naturally more water-repellent and scratch-resistant than regular suede.
Over time, this leather does not deteriorate but acquires a worn and "hairy" look highly sought after by workwear enthusiasts.
Hand-stitched, with a single piece of leather that completely wraps around the foot.
